The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kusanagi looks for a takedown but Genetia sprawls well.

Genetia closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
You can see the frustration on Kusanagi's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kusanagi is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Genetia has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Genetia!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Kusanagi throws a low kick but Genetia avoids it.
Kusanagi misses with a takedown
and Genetia counters by gaining double undehooks. He picks up Kusanagi and carries him across to his own corner. OH, that's a monster slam and Kusanagi is out cold! A brutal end to the fight and credit to Genetia for not following up with any more shots. He recognised that Kusanagi was out. Good sportsmanship.
