Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vahe Babajan!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broadwater swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Babajan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.


It looks like Jim Broadwater has been cut.
Babajan is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Babajan fails in his attempt to clinch.

Babajan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Babajan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Broadwater can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Broadwater throws and elbow that misses. Babajan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Broadwater's guard. Nice move by Babajan!

Broadwater pulls Babajan in close to his closed guard and prevents Babajan from doing any damage or advancing position.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

It looks like Vahe Babajan has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Babajan throws a head kick that misses
and Broadwater counters with a two punch combo.
Babajan tries to bum rush Broadwater with a series of wild strikes but Broadwater uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Broadwater tries to close the distance and clinch up but Babajan swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Babajan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Babajan gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Broadwater makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Broadwater thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Broadwater throws a strike but Babajan rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Babajan looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Broadwater on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Broadwater tries to get out of the position.
Broadwater is not content to let Babajan control the position.
Babajan is just content to waste time from the top position. Broadwater takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Babajan looking to sit in guard and control but Broadwater gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Babajan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Broadwater is trying to stand up here but Babajan is controlling him well.
Babajan is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Babajan is looking to take a break and control but Broadwater is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Broadwater fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Babajan checks it well.
Babajan fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Broadwater avoids it really well and circles away.

Broadwater closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Broadwater lands in his opponent's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jim Broadwater showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Broadwater has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
