The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smirnov moves into the clinch.
Unity goes for a takedown attempt but Smirnov pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
A solid body kick from Smirnov.
Unity is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Unity shoots in looking for a takedown. Smirnov tries to sprawl out of it but Unity keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smirnov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Smirnov throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Unity crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Nicholas Smirnov!
