Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenshou Buenafe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lyoto Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida has chosen Take your shirt off as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kenshou Buenafe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lyoto Machida! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buenafe shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Machida pinned against the cage. Machida gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Machida drives through with a takedown into guard. Machida controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Machida must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. I looks like Machida might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Buenafe wants to hit a switch here but Machida passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Buenafe there! Buenafe manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Buenafe tries to lock up and control but Machida gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Buenafe tries to get back to half guard but can't. Buenafe is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Machida lands a big elbow. Machida controlling his opponent. Buenafe tries to hold on but Machida postures up. Machida sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buenafe is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Machida controlling the pace for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Buenafe is trying to get back to his feet but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lyoto Machida dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Machida closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Buenafe wants to get back to full guard. Buenafe is looking to control Machida's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Buenafe avoid being mounted? Buenafe tries to get to full guard but Machida has control of the leg. Machida content to control rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lyoto Machida. Buenafe doesn't succeed with the takedown and Machida counters with a shoot takedown. Buenafe fights it but they end up in guard. Machida is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Machida wants to control from the top but Buenafe keeps moving. Machida stopping the sweep attempt from Buenafe.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Machida is stalling in the full guard. Buenafe wants to stand up but Machida is controlling him. Buenafe pulls Machida in close to prevent any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Buenafe working a defensive guard but Machida manages to pass into side control anyway.
Machida remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Buenafe is trying to control Machida's posture but Machida avoids it. Machida slows the pace down. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Lyoto Machida. Buenafe tries to clinch up and Machida counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Buenafe's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lyoto Machida showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Buenafe with a lazy takedown attempt and Machida counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Machida. Buenafe not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Buenafe is looking for a sweep. Machida is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Machida keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Buenafe tries to get to full guard but Machida has control of the leg. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Machida is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Let's hope that Machida has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

And that's the end of the fight! Lyoto Machida comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Machida has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
