Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fred Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Querk Bulldog!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Johnson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Johnson wants to get back to his feet.
Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Johnson is looking to stall here but Bulldog recovers full guard.
Johnson tries to free his leg and advance position but Bulldog is retaining full guard.

Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Bulldog gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Bulldog drops back looking for a leg! Johnson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Johnson manages to kick Bulldog off! Bulldog jumps back into Johnson's guard.

Bulldog has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Johnson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Johnson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Bulldog is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Johnson, into his guard.

Johnson has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Bulldog off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Querk Bulldog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Bulldog closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Johnson did well to prevent Bulldog getting side control.

Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bulldog manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Johnson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Bulldog is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Johnson is just riding it out for now. Bulldog eventually gives up the hold.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Johnson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bulldog was covering up waiting for the punch and Johnson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
