The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cat lands a nice hook to Pikul's body. Pikul takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Pikul should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Pikul swats away the attempt to clinch by Cat.
Cat fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Cat has Pikul up against the cage in a clinch.
Cat jumps guard but Pikul stands there with Cat around his waist. Cat gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Cat can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dog Cat. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cat is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Pikul pulls guard effortlessly.

Cat is posturing up here but Pikul has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Cat tries to roll out but it's too tight and Cat has to tap! Slick submission there by Pikul!
