Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stone Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Powers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stone Wall has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stone Wall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Powers! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powers takes a swing at Wall's ribcage but misses. Powers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Wall as he avoids it easily. Powers moves in looking to clinch but Wall pushes him off. No luck for Wall with that takedown attempt. Wall fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wall rushes Powers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Wall changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Powers fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stone Wall. That's going to take a lot out of him. Wall shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Powers but Powers pushes him off and we're back to square one. Powers takes the fight into the clinch. Powers turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Powers manages to end up in side control. Wall is trying to get back to half guard. Wall wants to get back to his feet but Powers drags him back down. Wall is trying to control Powers's posture but Powers avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Powers working the ground and pound but Wall is defending the strikes. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You can see the frustration on Wall's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Powers throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Wall checks the leg kick nicely there.
Powers looks gassed! Wall closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Powers is looking to reverse the position. Wall wants to control but Powers is keeping him busy. Wall decides to stand back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wall checks the leg kick nicely there.
Powers throws a low kick but Wall avoids it. Powers throws the kick towards the body but Wall avoids it. Wall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Powers pinned against the cage. Powers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Powers throws a right hand that Wall ducks under and follows up with a left that Wall also avoids with ease. Wall clinches up with Powers and pushes him back against the cage. Powers breaks from the clinch.
Powers has his takedown stuffed and Wall counters by clinching up. Powers has clasped his hands together around Wall's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Powers throws an elbow but Wall slips to the side and avoids it well. Powers controls the position from side control. Wall wants to control but Powers postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wall on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Powers lands an elbow. Wall is working to avoid the ground and pound but Powers connects with a decent elbow. Wall gets back to half guard. Wall is refusing to be controlled, as Powers sits in half guard. Wall won't allow Powers to pass to mount. Powers missing with the ground and pound from half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Powers trying to control from half guard but Wall is working away. Wall tries to roll over but Powers keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Powers controlling the action here. Powers is looking to take a break and control but Wall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wall tries to roll over but Powers keeps him under control.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Good leg kick by Powers there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Powers closes the distance and clinches up with Wall, looking for a takedown. Powers pushes Wall against the cage but Wall circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wall lands a nice leg kick that just misses Powers's sensitive parts. A big head kick from Powers and Wall is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Wall is rocked!
It looks like Stone Wall has been cut. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Powers gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Oh Wall is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Are you kidding me?! Powers ducked down and unloaded an uppercut from hell that sent Wall clean off his feet! Someone make me a GIF - that's knockout of the night for sure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Matt Powers!
