And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dennis Rodman!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodman moves in looking to clinch but McCormick pushes him off.
McCormick keeps the fight on the outside.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from McCormick is defended easily by Rodman.
McCormick doesn't manage to clinch there - Rodman circles away.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Rodman obliges.

That was a close round but I would say that Branden McCormick will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
McCormick content to control rather than advance.
Rodman wants to get back to full guard.
McCormick takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
McCormick wants to pass to mount but Rodman is defending the position.

McCormick decides to stand up.

McCormick shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McCormick is looking for a kimura here.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Branden McCormick dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Rodman seems a little lost for a moment, as McCormick dominates the positioning.

McCormick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rodman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
McCormick avoids the strikes from the bottom by Rodman.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Rodman finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

McCormick avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

Some bone on bone action there as McCormick checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Branden McCormick is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rodman tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but McCormick paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Rodman is pressed up against the cage. McCormick has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Rodman down to the mat. Rodman avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rodman tries to close the distance and clinch up but McCormick swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rodman throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Rodman is looking for a sweep.
McCormick avoids the strikes from the bottom by Rodman.
Rodman is trying to get back to half guard.
McCormick slows the pace down.
Branden McCormick is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for McCormick, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
