The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sandar ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Sandar rushes Ferreira and presses him up against the cage.
Ferreira fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Sandar has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Ferreira clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Ferreira is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sandar is surviving well by controlling Ferreira's body position as best he can.

Ferreira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sandar is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ferreira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sandar's back instead.

Ferreira is looking for the choke from the back position but Sandar is controlling his hands well.
Sandar manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ferreira's guard. Nice work there by Sandar.
Sandar wants to get up but he can't break Ferreira's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Sandar trying to control the position from guard on top but Ferreira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sandar throws a big right hand that misses.
Ferreira has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sandar can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sandar would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Ferreira is looking for a triangle but Sandar pushes his legs off easily.

Sandar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ferreira swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Ferreira has instead reached around Sandar's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Ferreira arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
