Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jose Carlos jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and brock lesnar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos jr comes to the cage accompanied by Jarrid Mendelson - The Ultimate Fighter. brock lesnar will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jose Carlos jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, brock lesnar! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlos jr stuffs the takedown attempt from lesnar. lesnar gets slowly back to his feet. Horrible takedown by lesnar or perhaps it was just good defense by Carlos jr which made him look bad. lesnar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. No luck for lesnar with that takedown attempt. Jose Carlos jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of brock lesnar. lesnar misses with a head kick.
Carlos jr stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carlos jr wants it to stay on the feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carlos jr keeps the fight on the outside. lesnar fails with the takedown. lesnar misses with a series of wild punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. lesnar has a takedown stuffed. lesnar looks gassed! Carlos jr leaves lesnar with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. lesnar misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Carlos jr looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Carlos jr scoring with punches to the head and body. Carlos jr forces his way into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. lesnar tries to kick Carlos jr off but Carlos jr keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Carlos jr seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Carlos jr is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carlos jr passes to side control. Carlos jr in side control lands a decent elbow. Carlos jr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Carlos jr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! This has been an exciting period of action! lesnar is looking for a sweep. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if lesnar can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carlos jr goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, lesnar has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Carlos jr but great work by lesnar. Carlos jr avoids any damage from the ground and pound of lesnar. Sloppy strikes there by lesnar. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. lesnar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. lesnar in side control, throwing shots but Carlos jr defends. Carlos jr dodges the ground and pound from lesnar.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. lesnar misses with the ground and pound. lesnar working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Carlos jr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. lesnar is chipping away with strikes.
The ground and pound from lesnar seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. lesnar wants to take a breather but Carlos jr manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for lesnar. lesnar in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jose Carlos jr dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That's one minute gone in the round. lesnar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Carlos jr blocking the ground and pound attempt from lesnar. lesnar looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Carlos jr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. lesnar thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Carlos jr's head. lesnar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. lesnar trying to control from half guard but Carlos jr is working away. lesnar missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. lesnar misses with a head shot. Carlos jr uses the momentum to regain guard. Carlos jr avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. lesnar advances position into side control! lesnar looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Carlos jr is avoiding damage well.
Carlos jr is not content to let lesnar control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. lesnar throwing shots but missing, from side control. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Carlos jr here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. lesnar trying to control the position but Carlos jr is working away. lesnar fails to land a wild elbow strike.
lesnar misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
lesnar scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Carlos jr to see if he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carlos jr managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by lesnar.

That was a close second round but I would say that Jose Carlos jr will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Carlos jr is looking to work some ground and pound but lesnar has wrist control. Carlos jr throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as lesnar works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Carlos jr trying to control but lesnar is working from the bottom. Carlos jr keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of lesnar's head. Carlos jr prevents lesnar from getting back to his feet. Carlos jr thows a big elbow that misses. lesnar really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Carlos jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Carlos jr throws a big right hand that misses. lesnar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Carlos jr is controlling him. Carlos jr is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Carlos jr makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Carlos jr postures up in lesnar's guard and throws a big left but lesnar blocks it. Carlos jr wants to control from the top but lesnar keeps moving. Carlos jr trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Carlos jr is working hard here to advance position. Carlos jr working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
And that's the end of the fight! Jose Carlos jr showed his dominance in that final round. Well Carlos jr has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
