Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Raul Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luther West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raul Gonzalez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luther West! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! West is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. West looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! West takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Luther West has been cut. West takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Gonzalez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. West avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Gonzalez. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gonzalez lands a nice short elbow. Gonzalez content to control rather than advance. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. West blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gonzalez. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gonzalez controlling the pace. Gonzalez works his way into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gonzalez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, West has escaped the position, nice work there. Gonzalez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt West will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. West is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gonzalez connects with a decent elbow. Gonzalez controlling the position from side mount. Gonzalez is putting a hurting on West here, landing some big shots from side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gonzalez remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. West on the wrong end of some ground and pound. You can see the frustration on West's face as Gonzalez controls the position. Gonzalez in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. This has been an exciting period of action! A lull in the action here. Gonzalez has worked his way into a potential kimura here. West is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gonzalez yanks on the arm and West is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gonzalez.
