Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Artur Vardanyan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Damage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Artur Vardanyan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Damage! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Damage closes the distance and clinches. Damage has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Vardanyan uses from the top position. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Vardanyan drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Damage dives on top into guard. Vardanyan working for submissions but it's allowed Damage to get to half guard.
Vardanyan lands with a few short shots to the body. Damage stalling. Vardanyan is trying to get back to full guard. Damage stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Damage is thwarting Vardanyan's attempts to control the position. Vardanyan pushes Damage off looking to stand but Damage dives back in and keeps control.
Damage is taking a breather. Vardanyan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Damage looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vardanyan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Damage is taking a breather. Vardanyan says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Max Damage. Damage shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Damage trying to control the pace. Vardanyan gets back to full guard.
Vardanyan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Damage is aware though and is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damage looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Vardanyan is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Vardanyan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Damage is aware though and is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Vardanyan looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Damage puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Vardanyan could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Vardanyan wants to improve his position but Damage is controlling well.
Damage looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Vardanyan is looking to escape. Damage trying to control the pace. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Damage dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Vardanyan has his takedown stuffed and Damage counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vardanyan! Damage controlling from the full mount. Vardanyan tries to hold on but Damage pushes him away. Vardanyan is in all sorts of trouble here.
Damage controlling the pace for now. Vardanyan tries to get back to half guard but can't. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Damage controlling from mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vardanyan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Vardanyan is desperately trying to improve his position but Damage has a good base and remains in mount. Damage working Vardanyan over with strikes here. Damage controlling from mount. Vardanyan wants to control but Damage is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vardanyan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Damage is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Damage prevents Vardanyan from getting the reversal. Vardanyan tries to hold on but Damage postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vardanyan squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Damage looking to control and managing it successfully. Vardanyan wants to hold on but Damage pushes him away. Damage controlling from the full mount. Vardanyan defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Damage. Damage looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Vardanyan can't escape the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vardanyan tries to hold on but Damage postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Max Damage showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Vardanyan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Damage counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Max Damage. Vardanyan tries for a takedown but Damage circles away easily and Damage counters with a shoot takedown. Vardanyan fights it but they end up in guard. Damage controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Damage has gone for a leg lock! Vardanyan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Damage's guard. Damage takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Vardanyan looking to sit in guard and control but Damage gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vardanyan working a defensive guard but Damage manages to pass into side control anyway.
Vardanyan is looking for a sweep. Vardanyan seems a little lost for a moment, as Damage dominates the positioning. Vardanyan is looking to regain half guard here but Damage keeps moving and retains side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. You can see the frustration on Vardanyan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Vardanyan tries to bench press Damage off him but Damage keeps the position. Damage staying calm. Vardanyan is trying to control Damage's posture but Damage avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Damage content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Vardanyan wants to get back to his feet but Damage drags him back down. Max Damage is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Damage just content to control the position. Vardanyan is looking to regain half guard here but Damage keeps moving and retains side control.

And that's the end of the fight! Max Damage comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Damage has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
