Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Larry Biggsby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rogers has chosen Real American as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers looks to land a combination but Biggsby avoids it well.
The fight stays on the outside here - Rogers looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Biggsby looks for a takedown but Rogers sprawls well.

Rogers tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rogers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Biggsby moves away.

Rogers closes the distance and pushes Biggsby back into the cage.
Biggsby takes an elbow to the temple.


It looks like Larry Biggsby has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogers gets underhooks to prevent Biggsby's takedown attempt.

Rogers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Rogers has taken the fight to the clinch.
Biggsby is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Rogers gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Biggsby has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rogers uses from the top position.
Rogers passes into half guard.
Rogers looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Biggsby with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Biggsby is staying active underneath Rogers, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Rogers is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Biggsby could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rogers wants to get back to his feet.

Rogers wants to stand but Biggsby has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Biggsby is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Rogers scores with a couple of nice shots.
Rogers really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Biggsby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rogers is looking to advance position but Biggsby won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rogers throws a series of punches but Biggsby avoids them all with ease.

Biggsby shoots in looking for a takedown. Rogers tries to sprawl out of it but Biggsby keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rogers manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Biggsby is breathing heavily.

Biggsby lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Rogers rushes Biggsby and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Rogers breaks from the clinch.
Rogers lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Biggsby swats away the attempt to clinch by Rogers.

Rogers closes the distance and clinches.
A right hook to the body lands for Rogers.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rogers connects with a nasty looking knee right to Biggsby's face.

Rogers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Rogers drops Biggsby with a beautiful combination! Biggsby stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Rogers is looking for the KO!


Biggsby is rocked!
Rogers is looking to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rogers wants to clinch up but Biggsby keeps it at a distance.
Rogers feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Biggsby crashing to the mat! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Steve Rogers!
