Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yakko Warner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Yakko Warner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jimmy Dean!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Warner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dean swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Warner forces Dean back against the ropes and clinches.
Warner crunches a lovely knee into Dean's ribcage.

A frustrated look appears on Dean's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Warner jumps guard and drags Dean to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Dean got a little sloppy there for a moment and Warner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Dean has managed to get both his arms back between Warner's legs - danger averted.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Warner is taking a breather. Dean says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Warner is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Dean's shoulder. That is not cool.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dean is trying to get back to half guard.

Warner swings around for an armbar but Dean sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Warner's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Warner keeps control of Dean as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Jimmy Dean showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Dean feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
