PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Dasher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Possible (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Possible is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Like I Never Left. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Possible bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Possible is staying tight to Dasher's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Possible wants to control but Dasher is keeping him busy.
Dasher on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dasher tries to get out of the position.
Possible controlling the position.
Dasher is looking for a sweep.

Possible wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Dasher, who protects the arm well.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Possible tries for a kimura but Dasher is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dasher is trying to control Possible's posture but Possible avoids it.

Possible is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Dasher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Dasher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Possible on the ground.

Dasher has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Possible is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Dasher scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Possible throws a series of punches but Dasher moves out of range.
Possible throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Dasher's waist but Dasher gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Possible off to one side.

Possible walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Possible takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Dasher is looking to wear down Possible with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Dasher throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Possible stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dasher catches Possible with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Possible tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dasher swivels and escapes.
Dasher uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Tom Possible seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Possible takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Possible shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Possible shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dasher sprawls well. Dasher wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Possible gets slowly back to his feet.
Dasher bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Possible's head.

Possible takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Possible changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dasher tries to avoid it but Possible manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dasher to the ground. Dasher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Possible tries for a takedown but Dasher sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Possible has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Possible drops his hands momentarily and Dasher takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Dasher seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
