Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Michael Sewell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sewell throws a head kick but Lilja moves out of range.

Lilja shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sewell throws a nice looking combination but Lilja bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lilja feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lilja has control of Sewell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sewell regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Sewell is squirming around, avoiding Lilja's attempts to control the action.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
