Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yrjo Puska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ari Vanhala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Puska might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to GWB -rap. The crowd seem to be enjoying Vanhala's choice of entrance music: Bad Religion - Generator. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanhala lands a head shot.

Puska lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Ari Vanhala seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Puska avoids the body shot from Vanhala.

Vanhala looks to land a combination. Puska sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

so Vanhala counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Puska tries to improve position but can't.
Vanhala creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Puska tries to buck Vanhala off but Vanhala is having none of it.
Puska wants to control but Vanhala postures up.
Vanhala wants to lay and pray for a moment but Puska keeps working.

Puska wants to get back to full guard.
Vanhala tries to pass the half guard into mount. Puska knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Puska is on top in guard.

Puska stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vanhala swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Puska drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vanhala looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vanhala looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vanhala!

Puska tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Vanhala presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vanhala looking to control but Puska is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Vanhala pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Puska is in a horrible position here. Vanhala smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Ari Vanhala dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Vanhala throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Puska sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Puska throws a shot from downtown. Vanhala moves away and avoids it.
Vanhala throws a right and a left that both miss.
Puska misses with a wild body shot.
Puska uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Vanhala.
Puska takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Vanhala shoots in and bounces Puska off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Vanhala throws and elbow that misses. Puska uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vanhala's guard. Nice move by Puska!
Puska advances to half guard.
Puska is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vanhala doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Puska.
Vanhala is looking to control Puska's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Vanhala avoid being mounted?

Vanhala makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vanhala.
Vanhala wants to hit a switch here but Puska passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Vanhala there!
Vanhala is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Vanhala is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Puska tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Puska takes Vanhala's back.
Puska working for the choke.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vanhala is trying to break free.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Puska has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Vanhala has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
Vanhala is really stuck here.
Puska has managed to slip his arm under Vanhala's chin. This could be all over... yep, Vanhala is tapping out! Submission win for Puska.
