The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rand jabs Matthews right on the nose. Matthews blinks but takes it well.

Rand ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Rand fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Matthews moves in looking to clinch but Rand pushes him off.

Matthews shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rand pinned against the cage. Rand gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Daniel Rand has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Matthews.
Matthews tries to clinch there but Rand circles away.
Rand lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Rand lands with a right that hurts Matthews. Matthews looks to clinch but Rand throws a short knee that drops Matthews. This one is all over!
