Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Tamad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colton Cates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juan Tamad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Colton Cates! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cates gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Tamad slips nicely into half guard, despite the strikes coming from Cates. Cates is refusing to be controlled, as Tamad sits in half guard. Cates is trying to control but can't.
Cates is looking to escape. Tamad is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cates is just riding it out for now. Tamad eventually gives up the hold. Cates is trying to maintain the position but Tamad is very close to passing his half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cates is trying to get back to full guard. Tamad throwing shots but Cates is blocking nicely. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Tamad scores a takedown into full mount! Tamad jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Cates manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cates tries to buck Tamad off but Tamad is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cates struggling a bit here. Tamad is trying to get an arm triangle but Cates is defending well. Cates is trying to strike from the bottom but Tamad has passed into full mount. Tamad jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cates is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cates and Tamad has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tamad tries to score with some ground and pound. Cates controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Cates tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Tamad presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Cates is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Tamad swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cates is now in Tamad's guard. A big mistake from Tamad there, giving up the dominant position! Cates scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cates avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Tamad controlling the position. Cates stands up over Tamad, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Cates stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Tamad has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Cates manages to get his head free but now Tamad has transitioned to an armbar! Cates grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Tamad! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
