The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas shoots in and drives through. Wright sprawls well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Wright swings for the body but Thomas moves out of range.
Thomas feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Thomas throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Wright escapes and throws Thomas's legs to the side, diving into side control!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wright takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The fighters are battling for position here. Thomas manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

That's time! Wright's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Thomas feints and as Wright raises his hands in defense, Thomas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wright is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Thomas is controlling him.

Horrible takedown by Thomas or perhaps it was just good defense by Wright which made him look bad.

Thomas takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Thomas swings around for an armbar but Wright sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Thomas's guard.
Wright is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Wright gets to his feet - Thomas follows without any prompting.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wright as he jumps to the side.

Thomas is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Wright can't fight it off and eventually Thomas manages to take the fight to the floor. Wright looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
