Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Reymond Malangis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dayne Kuntz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malangis comes to the cage accompanied by eye of the tiger. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Malangis shoots in for a double leg but Kuntz sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Malangis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Malangis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Malangis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Reymond Malangis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Malangis clinches up with Kuntz and pushes him back against the cage.
Kuntz tries for a takedown. No joy.
Kuntz throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Malangis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kuntz walks away with a smile on his face. Malangis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Malangis digs a good body shot into Kuntz's ribs.

and Malangis counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kuntz's guard now.
Malangis throwing strikes but missing.
Kuntz wants to sweep but no luck.
Kuntz pulls Malangis in close to prevent any damage.
Malangis wants to pass the guard but Kuntz is keeping the position.

Kuntz is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Malangis is aware though and is defending well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Malangis kicks Kuntz off and gets back to his feet.
Malangis keeps the fight on the outside.

Kuntz shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kuntz is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Malangis misses with a takedown

and Kuntz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Malangis won't be happy with that.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kuntz lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Kuntz is taking a breather. Malangis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Malangis pushes Kuntz off looking to stand but Kuntz dives back in and keeps control.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Malangis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Kuntz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Kuntz looking to sit in guard and control but Malangis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Kuntz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dayne Kuntz has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kuntz wants to stand up but Malangis is controlling him.
Malangis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Malangis throws and elbow that misses. Kuntz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Malangis's guard. Nice move by Kuntz!
Kuntz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Kuntz manages to get to full guard.
Kuntz is trying to keep Malangis in close.

Dayne Kuntz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Malangis goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Reymond Malangis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A left and a right from Malangis both land. Nice combination.

Kuntz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Kuntz is looking to work some ground and pound but Malangis has wrist control.
Kuntz throwing strikes from guard but Malangis blocks nicely.
Kuntz controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Kuntz throws a strike but Malangis rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Kuntz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Malangis is one step ahead there.

Kuntz passes the guard and advances to mount!
Malangis tries to buck Kuntz off but he can't manage it.

Malangis has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Malangis looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Malangis is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Kuntz tries to keep at a distance but Malangis has taken the fight into the clinch.

Malangis gets underhooks to prevent Kuntz's takedown attempt.
Reymond Malangis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
