Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johhny Moreno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephen Ferguson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moreno comes into the arena with Till I Collapse blaring out of the sound system. Johhny Moreno has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Moreno drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferguson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Moreno controls the position from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ferguson stops Moreno from passing to mount.
Moreno controls the position.
Moreno tries to advance to mount but Ferguson instead regains half guard.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Moreno in particular looking to stall.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Johhny Moreno.

Moreno feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Ferguson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moreno is one step ahead there.

Ferguson wants to hold on but Moreno pushes him away.

Moreno takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Ferguson is bucking up trying to escape but Moreno cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Moreno tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Ferguson is in a horrible position here. Moreno smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Moreno lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Moreno controlling the position easily from mount.

Moreno looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Moreno shoots in but Ferguson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Ferguson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Moreno seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Moreno decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Moreno prevents Ferguson from improving his position.
Moreno drops an elbow to the side of Ferguson's head.
Moreno will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Moreno is taking a breather. Ferguson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Moreno uses his free foot to push down on Ferguson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ferguson.

Ferguson wants to control but Moreno is having none of it.
Ferguson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Moreno is staying active.
