With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Taj Mahal!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin throws a hook but Mahal avoids it easily.
Mahal blocks a head kick by Rasputin.
Taj Mahal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rasputin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mahal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mahal is defended easily by Rasputin.

Mahal would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rasputin's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Rasputin bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mahal's guard.
Mahal can't keep his opponent in guard - Rasputin advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Rasputin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's time! Rasputin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Mahal is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Rasputin can't fight it off and eventually Mahal manages to take the fight to the floor. Rasputin looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Rasputin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mahal can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Rasputin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Mahal!

Mahal defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Rasputin.
