The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rubio looks for a takedown but Guevara sprawls well.
Guevara scores with a jab to the body.

Guevara throws a solid leg kick but Rubio takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Guevara.

Guevara tries a head kick but it misses.
Rubio chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Guevara can pounce on him.

Guevara bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Crunch! Guevara slams his shin into Rubio's torso.
Guevara tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Guevara moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rubio shoots for a double leg takedown but Guevara sprawls well. He's pushed Rubio's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Guevara lands with an uppercut that bounces Rubio off the cage and back into rage.
Guevara works over Rubio's head and body with a nice combination.

Rubio shoots in for a takedown but Guevara shows good takedown defense.
Guevara throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Guevara stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Guevara wants it to stay on the feet.
Guevara lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Guevara throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rubio.
Rubio shoots in looking for a takedown. Guevara tries to sprawl out of it but Rubio keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Guevara manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Rubio takes one on the button.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rubio.
Rubio is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Guevara is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rubio is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Guevara looks calm but he's in trouble here. Rubio gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Guevara is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Rubio lets go of the hold and Guevara can pop his arm back in it's socket.
