The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diamonds uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Severence.
Diamonds avoids the body shot from Severence.
Diamonds throws a sloppy head kick and Severence moves out of range easily.
Diamonds lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Diamonds.
Diamonds dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Raif Severence seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diamonds lands a nice shot that snaps Severence's head back.
Severence swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Diamonds counters with a lovely shot to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Severence misses with a body shot
and Diamonds counters with a one-two to the body.
Severence looks gassed!
Diamonds throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Severence doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Diamonds scores with a counter punch that sends Severence to the canvas! Diamonds smells blood - he's punishing Severence with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Severence has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
