Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Weltto Wirtanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jarkhou Anakin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wirtanen might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Mt Eden Dubstep - Sierra Leone. Anakin has chosen Breaking Benjamin - Firefly as his entrance music. Jarkhou Anakin struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 187.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jarkhou Anakin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wirtanen shoots in but Anakin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Anakin throws a big shot that misses.

Wirtanen ducks under a wild hook from Anakin.
Wirtanen walks into a jab.
Anakin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Anakin lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Wirtanen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Anakin is trying to defend but Wirtanen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Wirtanen has gone for a leg lock! Anakin slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wirtanen's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wirtanen is pulling down on Anakin's head to control his posture.
Anakin wants to stand but Wirtanen is controlling his posture from full guard.

Anakin postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Wirtanen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Anakin throws a strike but Wirtanen rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Wirtanen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Anakin, who protects the arm well.

Wirtanen tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Wirtanen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Anakin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Anakin lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Anakin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Wirtanen.
Anakin throws a nice looking combination but Wirtanen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Anakin throws a series of punches but Wirtanen avoids them all with ease.
Anakin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A combination from Anakin does no damage.
Wirtanen drives through with a takedown into guard.
Anakin wants to get back to his feet but Wirtanen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Wirtanen could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Anakin keeping moving, preventing Wirtanen from controlling successfully.

Wirtanen is really struggling to control Anakin but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Wirtanen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Anakin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wirtanen is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Wirtanen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Anakin pinned against the cage. Anakin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jarkhou Anakin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wirtanen slips a jab and a cross from Anakin.
Wirtanen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Wirtanenis looking to pass into half guard but Anakin pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Anakin is in guard.
Anakin wanted to stand there but Wirtanen had control of the position.
Anakin is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Anakin gets to his feet. Wirtanen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Wirtanen tries to close the distance and clinch but Anakin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Wirtanen fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Weltto Wirtanen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Wirtanen stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
