Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rest Leer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silent Bob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Silent Bob!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob shoots for a double leg takedown but Leer sprawls well. He's pushed Bob's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Leer tries a head kick but it misses.
Leer could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bob drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Leer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Leer tries to improve position but can't.
Leer strikes from the bottom but Bob takes advantage and advances to full mount!
Bob manages to capitalize on a mistake by Leer to take his back!
Leer is really stuck here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bob biding his time, looking for the opening.

Leer can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Leer controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
Bob is hanging on to Leer's back as he tries to escape.
Leer is working hard here to advance position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bob biding his time, controlling Leer.
Leer tries to roll but Bob sticks to his back.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bob trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Bob is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Bob is hanging on to Leer's back as he tries to escape.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Leer looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Leer rolls, trying to escape but Bob keeps control of the position.

Bob trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
Bob is not going to allow Leer to sit and survive in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silent Bob dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Leer swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bob takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Bob shoots in for a takedown but Leer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Leer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Leer looking to sit in guard and control but Bob gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Leer throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Leer throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Leer looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bob passes into half guard.
Leer is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Bob jumps into side control!
Bob is breathing heavily.

Leer is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Bob slips into full mount, dodging the strikes by Leer.
Leer throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Leer tries to improve his position but instead Bob has taken his back!
Leer tries to escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Leer is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Bob.
Leer is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bob avoiding Leer 's attempts to control his hands.
Leer is trying to break free.
Bob not allowing Leer to control his hands.
Leer tries to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Leer trying to control the hands but Bob won't let him.
You can see the frustration on Leer's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

A close second round but Silent Bob will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Leer digs a good body shot into Bob's ribs.
Bob shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Leer counters with a shoot takedown. Bob fights it but they end up in guard.

Leer gets to his feet - Bob follows without any prompting.

Leer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bob to the mat! Bob manages to get full guard.
Leer trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Leer wants to stand and escape but instead Bob has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Leer throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Leer trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Leer working for submissions but it's allowed Bob to get to half guard.
Bob wants to stand up but Leer has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Leer flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Leer looking for a kimura from the bottom but Bob passes into side control!
Leer looks to move to half guard but instead Bob has passed into mount! Damn!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Leer can't escape the position.

Bob gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Leer feints and as Bob raises his hands in defense, Leer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Leer postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Leer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Rest Leer overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bob utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bob is looking to stand up but Leer isn't so interested in that idea.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Leer working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Rest Leer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Leer tries to stand but Bob is controlling from the bottom.
Leer missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bob keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Leer.
Bob avoids the head kick by Leer.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Bob misses with a takedown attempt

and Leer counters with a single leg into guard. Bob didn't expect that.
Bob working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Leer.
Leer thows a big elbow that misses.
Bob wants to stand up but Leer is controlling him.
Leer wants to get up but he can't break Bob's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Bob preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Leer is looking to stand up but Bob won't let him.
Silent Bob is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rest Leer showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Bob has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
