Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danger Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kelvin Shum!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeshi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shum sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Takeshi misses with a straight right.
Shum swinging wilding here.
A punch combination from Shum misses.
Some wild striking there from Shum.
Takeshi throws a hook to the side of Shum's head but Shum sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Takeshi on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Takeshi misses with a right hand
and Shum counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Shum throws a body punch but Takeshi moves out of range.
Takeshi drops Shum with a left right combo! Takeshi follows him down to the ground into side control.
Shum is rocked!
It looks like Kelvin Shum has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Takeshi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Shum is still in real trouble! Can Takeshi finish him?
Shum tries to get back to half guard but can't.
A big shot lands for Takeshi! That's hurt Shum! Will he recover? Takeshi fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
