Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Geoff Bummer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Quim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Geoff Bummer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy Quim! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bummer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Quim throws a series of punches but Bummer moves out of range. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bummer is defended easily by Quim. Bummer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Quim but Quim pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Geoff Bummer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Quim darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Bummer throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bummer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Quim is working away from the top position though. Bummer is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Quim is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Bummer wants to sweep but Quim has passed to side control! Bummer tries to escape but Quim is in control. Quim working the ground and pound. Quim working the ground and pound but Bummer is defending the strikes. You can see the frustration on Bummer's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Quim lands a nice forearm strike. Sloppy strikes there by Quim. Bummer on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bummer tries to get out of the position. Bummer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Quim wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Bummer is not content to let Quim control the position. Quim working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bummer tries to improve position but can't. Bummer struggling a bit here. Bummer gets back to half guard. Quim has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Quim prevents Bummer from getting the reversal.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Quim goes for an armbar but Bummer turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Bummer. Quim is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Bummer defends well.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Bummer trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Quim manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Bummer looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Quim puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Quim throwing shots but Bummer is blocking nicely.
That's six minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Bummer is controlling Quim's trapped leg to prevent Quim from advancing to side control. Quim missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Bummer is trying to maintain the position but Quim is very close to passing his half guard. Bummer moves into full guard.
Bummer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bummer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Quim on the ground. Quim wanted to stand there but Bummer had control of the position.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Bummer is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Bummer is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bummer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Quim throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Quim throws a series of punches but Bummer avoids them all with ease. A swing and a miss from Quim. Quim avoids a punch combination nicely.
Quim throws a series of punches but Bummer moves out of range. Bummer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bummer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quim pinned against the cage. Quim gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bummer shoots and misses and Quim counters with a nice leg kick. Geoff Bummer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Quim counters with a series of strikes. Bummer will be more careful next time no doubt. Bummer wants to clinch and Quim counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Bummer avoids a punch combination nicely.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Bummer has his takedown stuffed and Quim counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Quim dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Quim drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Quim throwing strikes from guard but Bummer blocks nicely. Quim tries to free his leg and advance position but Bummer is retaining full guard. Quim throws a big right hand that misses. Quim throws and elbow that misses. Bummer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Quim's guard. Nice move by Bummer! Bummer trying to control the position from guard on top but Quim is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Bummer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Bummer wants to sweep here but Quim controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Quim working some strikes from top position. Quim trying to control but Bummer is working from the bottom. Quim preventing the sweep. Quim with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Quim scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Quim with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quim throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bummer works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Quim is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Quim wants to control from the top but Bummer keeps moving. Bummer looking for a sweep. Not yet Bummer, not yet. Quim has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Quim throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bummer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Quim defends well. Quim is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Bummer looking for a guillotine here but Quim defends easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A punch combination from Quim misses.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Quim circles away from the clinch attempt and Quim counters with a low kick, right behind Bummer 's knee. A low kick from Bummer misses and Quim counters with a stiff right hand. Bummer tries to clinch up and Quim counters with a thumping low kick.
That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bummer fails with the takedown and Quim counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Quim fails to land with a series of punches.
Quim shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bummer counters with a nice double leg into side control. Quim won't be happy with that. Bummer wants to take a breather but Quim manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Bummer. Bummer throws a strike but Quim rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Bummer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Bummer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Quim throws a big right hand that misses. Quim with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's eight minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bummer looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Quim passes into half guard.

Quim drops back looking for a leg! Bummer is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bummer manages to kick Quim off! Quim jumps back into Bummer's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Jimmy Quim comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Quim has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
