Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Marcus Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Craig Daniels! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Daniels controlling from the top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daniels trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Daniels landing with the ground and pound. Davis wants to stand but Daniels is controlling the position. Daniels thows a big elbow that misses. Davis wants to stand and escape but Daniels is having none of it. Davis keeping moving, preventing Daniels from controlling successfully.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Davis tries a head kick but it misses.
Daniels tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Davis paws at him with a jab and circles away. Daniels blocks a head kick by Davis.
Davis throws a hook to the side of Daniels's head but Daniels sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A big right from Davis misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels takes the fight into the clinch. Davis breaks the clinch.
Davis throws an overhand right that lands on Daniels's shoulder, as Daniels tries to avoid the shot. Daniels blocks a head kick by Davis.
Davis throws a head kick that misses. Davis pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Daniels uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Davis. Daniels looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Davis is fending him off so far but Daniels persists. Nope, Davis circles away and we're back to standing. Daniels gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Davis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Daniels wants a takedown.

A jab from Davis misses. Marcus Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Daniels fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Davis sprawls well initially but Daniels persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Davis is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Davis is refusing to be controlled, as Daniels sits in half guard. Davis is trying to stand up here but Daniels is controlling him well. Daniels is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Davis! The referee warns Davis that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Davis is bucking up trying to escape but Daniels cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Daniels breaks from Davis's wrist control and lands an elbow. Daniels won't let Davis get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Daniels landing strikes from the mount. Daniels working away from the top, dropping strikes. Daniels punishing his opponent with strikes. Daniels trying to control but Davis is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Daniels content just to control the position here. Daniels lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Daniels lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Daniels landing strikes from the mount. Daniels has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Daniels lands a big elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daniels working the ground and pound effectively.
Daniels can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Davis is looking to escape. Daniels looking to secure an arm triangle but Davis defends it well. Davis wants to get back to his feet.

Craig Daniels dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Daniels rushes Davis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Daniels has Davis pressed against the cage, preventing Davis from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Davis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Davis is trying to break the clinch but Daniels has him pressed against the cage. Daniels unloads a knee to the mid-section. Davis lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Daniels keeps control of Davis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Daniels is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Davis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Daniels has him pressed against the cage. Daniels tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Daniels drops down looking for an ankle pick but Davis pulls his leg out and moves away.
Daniels ducks under a wild hook from Davis. Daniels closes this distance looking for a takedown but Davis circles away. Marcus Davis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Craig Daniels. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Davis swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Daniels. Daniels tries to clinch but Davis is having none of it. Davis tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Daniels ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Daniels blocks a jab. Marcus Davis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Daniels. Davis circles away from the clinch attempt.
Davis tries to bum rush Daniels with a series of wild strikes but Daniels uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Daniels shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Daniels prevents Davis from standing back up.
Daniels working over Davis with some ground and pound. Davis looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Daniels is looking for a kimura but Davis is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Daniels to get the leverage. Davis tries to kick Daniels off but Daniels keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Daniels is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Daniels is looking to take a break and control but Davis is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Davis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Daniels on the ground. Daniels stalling. Davis is trying to stand.
Daniels lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Davis throws a head kick but Daniels moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Daniels shoots in and bounces Davis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Davis wants to stand but Daniels is controlling the position. Daniels slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Daniels working the body and head with strikes. Davis wants to get back to his feet. Daniels working the head with strikes.

Davis jabbing away but nothing is landing. Daniels shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Davis defends it nicely. Daniels uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Davis. Davis scores with a nice head shot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Craig Daniels showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
A big right from Davis misses. Daniels darts in and clinches Davis up against the cage. Daniels has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Davis uses from the top position. Davis postures up.
Daniels looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Davis is fighting to break Daniels's control of his arms but Daniels is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Davis wanted to stand there but Daniels had control of the position. Daniels manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Davis manages to get himself to full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Daniels's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Daniels throws a big right hand that misses. Davis is looking to stand up but Daniels isn't so interested in that idea. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Daniels cracks Davis with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Davis has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Daniels off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Daniels uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Davis. Daniels shoots in for a takedown but Davis shows good takedown defense. Davis scores with a nice right hand.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Davis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Davis wants to break free but Daniels has control.
Daniels is struggling to control the position. Daniels misses with a knee to the head. Daniels drags the fight down to the ground.
Daniels is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Daniels is trying to keep Davis in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daniels wants to sweep but no luck. Davis wanted to stand there but Daniels had control of the position. Daniels looking for a triangle here. Davis is fighting it but it looks tight! Daniels pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Davis is tapping out - this one is all over!
