Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bret McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rebasjki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bret McCoy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Rebasjki! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rebasjki gets a takedown into half guard. McCoy is trying to control but can't.
McCoy slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rebasjki trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rebasjki is looking to stand up but McCoy won't let him. McCoy looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rebasjki thows a big elbow that misses. McCoy is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. McCoy is trying to keep Rebasjki in close.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A telegraphed takedown attempt from McCoy is defended easily by Rebasjki. Rebasjki fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rebasjki gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. McCoy trying to control but Rebasjki is working from the bottom. McCoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rebasjki swivels though and keeps the full guard. McCoy throwing strikes from guard but Rebasjki blocks nicely. Rebasjki throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Rebasjki is trying to control the position but McCoy postures up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McCoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rebasjki swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rebasjki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McCoy is aware though and is defending well. Rebasjki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but McCoy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. McCoy checks a leg kick. McCoy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McCoy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rebasjki avoids it really well and circles away. McCoy with a lazy takedown attempt and Rebasjki counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for McCoy! That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bret McCoy. That's going to take a lot out of him. McCoy is desperately trying to improve his position but Rebasjki has a good base and remains in mount. Rebasjki trying to control but McCoy is having none of it. McCoy is looking to get to half guard. Rebasjki looking to finish with strikes here!
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. McCoy has given up his back here.
Rebasjki doesn't have the hooks in and McCoy manages to turn into his guard.
McCoy trying to control the position from guard on top but Rebasjki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rebasjki wants to get back to his feet but McCoy is in a dominant position and won't allow it. McCoy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

McCoy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rebasjki swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McCoy loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Rebasjki looking to control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nice sprawl there from Rebasjki as McCoy shoots in. Rebasjki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and McCoy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Rebasjki's guard now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bret McCoy will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McCoy cracks Rebasjki with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

McCoy looking to control but Rebasjki is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. McCoy lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rebasjki hang on? Rebasjki keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Rebasjki wants to hold on but McCoy pushes him away. McCoy looking to control but Rebasjki is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rebasjki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. McCoy is stalling here but it's allowed Rebasjki to get half guard.

Rebasjki is looking to improve his position but McCoy isn't that keen on the idea. Rebasjki wants to hold on but McCoy pushes him away.

Rebasjki is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Rebasjki tries to reverse the position but McCoy maintains control. McCoy scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Rebasjki wants to control but McCoy is having none of it. BOOM! McCoy connects with a massive shot to the dome!

McCoy jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rebasjki manages to avoid the submission attempt. McCoy is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rebasjki has escaped the position, nice work there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bret McCoy dominated that second round. That's time! McCoy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

McCoy postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. McCoy trying to control the position from guard on top but Rebasjki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rebasjki manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
McCoy tries to hold on but Rebasjki pushes him away. Rebasjki punching from mount but McCoy doing a good job of avoiding damage. McCoy working to try and regain half guard.
Rebasjki thowing shots but they're missing. John Rebasjki has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. McCoy is desperately trying to improve his position but Rebasjki has a good base and remains in mount. Rebasjki working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Rebasjki can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McCoy is looking to escape. McCoy is trying to escape the mount.
Rebasjki is working for a guillotine from mount but McCoy frees his head quite easily.
McCoy sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. McCoy manages to regain full guard. Nice work. There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCoy is on top in guard.
McCoy trying to control the position from guard on top but Rebasjki is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rebasjki is trying to control the position but McCoy postures up. McCoy stands and throws Rebasjki's legs to the side, diving into side control. McCoy lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rebasjki down.
Rebasjki can't do much from the bottom here. McCoy is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rebasjki can do to turn this around?

Rebasjki sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. McCoy frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. McCoy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rebasjki is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rebasjki and McCoy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Rebasjki stops McCoy from passing to mount. McCoy looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rebasjki is avoiding damage well.
And that's the end of the fight! Bret McCoy showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for McCoy, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
