Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grave Digger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Small (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Grave Digger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jim Small!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Digger fails in his attempt to clinch.
Small looks to clinch
and Digger counters with a straight right hand.


It looks like Jim Small has been cut.
Small rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Digger moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Small is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Small shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Digger manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Small drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Small jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Small stands up and waves to Digger to follow him.
Small shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Digger sprawls well. Digger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Small gets slowly back to his feet.

Small feints and as Digger raises his hands in defense, Small changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Small is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Small decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Digger misses with a series of wild punches.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Digger displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Small throws out the jab.
Digger tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Small decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Digger's guard.
Small pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Digger is keeping the position for now.
Small prevents Digger from getting back to his feet.

Digger being controlled here, momentarily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Digger is breathing heavily.
I looks like Small might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Digger utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Small stands and steps away. Digger gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Digger misses the jab.
Small fails with a takedown attempt.
Small fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Digger avoids it really well and circles away.
Grave Digger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Small.

Digger clinches up with Small and pushes him back against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Small dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Jim Small's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Digger throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Small takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Small fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Digger avoids it really well and circles away.
Small thumps Digger with a low kick.
Digger tries to clinch up but Small circles away and keeps his distance.
Digger throws the left hand but Small avoids the punch easily.
Digger tries to bum rush Small with a series of wild strikes but Small uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Small moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Small has Digger pushed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Digger's face as he tries to break the clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Digger.

Small has hold of one of Digger's legs. Digger is fighting the takedown attempt but Small gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Digger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Small controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Small stops Digger from standing up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Small pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Digger is keeping the position for now.
Small is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Let's hope that Small has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Small stands up from Digger's guard - Small perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Small shoots for a double leg takedown but Digger sprawls well. He's pushed Small's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Digger tries to clinch there but Small circles away.
Small fails to land the takedown.
Grave Digger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jim Small.
Small avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Small tries to close the distance and clinch but Digger swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Digger misses the jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jim Small showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Small is pulling down on Digger's head to control his posture.
Small is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Digger stopping the sweep attempt from Small.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Small has Digger pulled in close to control his posture.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jim Small.
No luck for Small with that takedown attempt.

Small instigates a clinch.

Digger can't break the clinch.
Small has Digger pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Digger manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Small's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Small uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Digger.
Small fails with a takedown attempt.
Grave Digger has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Digger closes the distance and clinches.

Digger breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Small closes the distance and clinches up with Digger, looking for a takedown. Small pushes Digger against the cage but Digger circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Digger fails with an attempt to clinch.
Digger looks to land a left hand but Small moved out of range nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Digger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jim Small seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Digger tries to clinch but Small moves out of range.
Digger doesn't manage to clinch there - Small circles away.
Digger throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Digger defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Small.
Jim Small is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Digger throws the left hand but Small avoids the punch easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jim Small.
I've got Small winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
