Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Kalir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cesar EL Matador (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Kalir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cesar EL Matador!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Dean Styles and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
EL Matador is looking to clinch.
EL Matador scoring well with a low kick there.
A big left from EL Matador misses.
Kalir keeps the fight on the outside.
EL Matador tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kalir swats him away and circles back towards the center.
EL Matador tries to clinch but Kalir moves out of range.

Kalir shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kalir showed some decent athleticism there.
Kalir is pressing down on EL Matador's thigh, looking to free his foot. EL Matador is holding on for now.
Kalir is looking to take a break and control but EL Matador is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Kalir working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Kalir wants to take a breather but EL Matador is having none of it.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kalir trying to control the action but EL Matador is working from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kalir is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Kalir seems to be working for a kimura but EL Matador defends the submission attempt.

Kalir is working for a submission of some sort.
Kalir stalling away here and it's allowed EL Matador to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kalir stands and throws EL Matador's legs to the side, diving into side control.
EL Matador is not content to let Kalir control the position.
Kalir tries to score with some ground and pound. EL Matador controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
EL Matador tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kalir wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Kalir in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Kalir is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, EL Matador has escaped the position, nice work there.
Kalir passes to full mount! That's big trouble for EL Matador!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

EL Matador defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Kalir.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
EL Matador slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Kalir wants to pass the guard but EL Matador is defending well.
Kalir missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Kalir keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Kalir trying to control the action but EL Matador is working from the bottom.
Kalir looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kalir wants to free his trapped foot but EL Matador is holding on for dear life with his legs.
EL Matador makes his way to full guard. A much better position for EL Matador.
EL Matador keeping moving, preventing Kalir from controlling successfully.

Kalir thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kalir wants to control from the top but EL Matador keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of George Kalir.

EL Matador shoots in and bounces Kalir off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that George Kalir will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


EL Matador misses with the combination.

EL Matador gets in close and instigates a clinch.
EL Matador tries to land knees in the clinch but Kalir avoids the damage to the body.

Kalir drags the fight down to the ground.
Kalir working a defensive guard here.

EL Matador got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kalir has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, EL Matador has managed to get both his arms back between Kalir's legs - danger averted.
Kalir throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Kalir has his foot on EL Matador's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. EL Matador works his way back into a safe position though.
Kalir thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.

EL Matador is sitting in close to Kalir's body. Kalir has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! EL Matador is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, EL Matador is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Kalir.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). George Kalir!
