The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Reed Andrews and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
willam fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gray avoids it really well and circles away.
willam checks a low kick from Gray.
willam really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
willam chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gray can pounce on him.
Gray tries to clinch up.
willam uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gray.
Gray gets caught flat footed, as willam shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

willam shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gray sprawls well. Gray wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. willam gets slowly back to his feet.

Gray is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.

Gabriel Gray showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Gray is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by willam.
Gray throws a body punch but willam moves out of range.

willam shoots in looking for a takedown. Gray tries to sprawl out of it but willam keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gray manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Gray fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt willam.

Gray misses with a jab, cross combination.
Horrible takedown by willam or perhaps it was just good defense by Gray which made him look bad.
Gray throws the left hand but willam avoids the punch easily.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Gray throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
willam slips under a jab from Gray.
Gray scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Gray with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
willam closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gray did well to prevent willam getting side control.

Gray wants to control but willam is keeping busy and won't allow it.
willam is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Gray tries to get to full guard but willam has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
willam is taking a breather. Gray says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gray is looking to improve his position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gray misses with a hook.
Gray goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

willam displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gray throws out the jab.
