Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Fisher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Peter Jackson!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Fisher pushes Jackson up against the cage in a clinch.

Fisher decides to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Jackson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jackson wants it to stay on the feet.

Fisher drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Jackson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Jackson manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Jackson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Fisher knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.

Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fisher does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Jackson throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fisher.

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fisher won't be happy with that.

That's time! Fisher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Horrible takedown by Fisher or perhaps it was just good defense by Jackson which made him look bad.

Jackson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fisher sprawls well initially but Jackson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jackson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Fisher drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Fisher off! Fisher jumps back into Jackson's guard.

Fisher gets back to half guard.
Fisher is looking for a sweep. Jackson is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Jackson passes to side control.

Fisher is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Jackson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Peter Jackson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Fisher has given up his back here. Will Jackson look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Jackson is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Fisher has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Jackson has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Fisher has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Fisher moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Jackson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Fisher's half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fisher does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
John Fisher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
