Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fred Flintstone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Johnson! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Flintstone swats him away and circles back towards the center. Flintstone throws a series of punches but Johnson moves out of range. A combination from Flintstone does no damage. Johnson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Flintstone throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Johnson. Flintstone lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! The fight stays on the outside here - Johnson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Flintstone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Johnson fails in his attempt to clinch.
