Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steven Seagul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Alb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Alb's choice of entrance music: Sandstorm. Ryan Alb has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alb shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Alb was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Seagul is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Alb is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Seagul to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Seagul shrugs it off.

Seagul looks to land a combination but Alb avoids it well.

Seagul uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Alb.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Seagul looks to score with a jab to the body but Alb is just out of range.

and Alb counters with a nice double leg into side control. Seagul won't be happy with that.
Alb throws an elbow but Seagul slips to the side and avoids it well.
Seagul knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alb on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Alb tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Alb content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Alb tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alb has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Alb thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Alb might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Seagul kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's time! Seagul's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

No joy there for Seagul, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Seagul slaps away a takedown attempt from Alb, before circling back to the center of the mat.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Seagul missing with a left hand there. Alb was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Seagul is staying active underneath Alb, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Alb looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
