Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Roye Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LITTLE SPIKE (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roye Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, LITTLE SPIKE!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
SPIKE misses the shot to the body.
SPIKE moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but SPIKE pushes him off.
LITTLE SPIKE seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson fails with an attempt to clinch.

SPIKE shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
SPIKE perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
I looks like SPIKE might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
SPIKE working over Jackson with some ground and pound. Jackson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Nice strikes from SPIKE there.
SPIKE wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
Jackson won't allow SPIKE to pass to mount.
SPIKE sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Jackson trying to control from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
SPIKE trying to control from half guard but Jackson is working away.
Jackson is holding on to half guard well.
SPIKE is thwarting Jackson's attempts to control the position.
Jackson is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because SPIKE is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

SPIKE controlling the pace.
SPIKE is trying to control the action in half guard but Jackson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by LITTLE SPIKE.
Jackson is looking to clinch.

SPIKE shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jackson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and SPIKE defends well.
SPIKE slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jackson preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
SPIKE throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
SPIKE with a flurry of punches that miss.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
SPIKE controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
SPIKE loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

LITTLE SPIKE dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


SPIKE shoots in for a takedown but Jackson shows good takedown defense.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jackson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
SPIKE swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson.
SPIKE fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
SPIKE shoots for a takedown but Jackson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Roye Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of LITTLE SPIKE.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson misses with a takedown attempt - SPIKE sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Jackson tries to close the distance and clinch but SPIKE swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

SPIKE has his takedown stuffed

and Jackson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
SPIKE using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jackson has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
SPIKE tries to land knees in the clinch but Jackson avoids the damage to the body.
SPIKE lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

SPIKE has Jackson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. SPIKE pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Jackson tumbling to the mat - SPIKE dives into Jackson's guard.
SPIKE is breathing heavily.
Jackson controls SPIKE momentarily but SPIKE frees himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

SPIKE trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jackson seems keen to control SPIKE's posture.
Jackson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for SPIKE!
SPIKE keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jackson trying to control but SPIKE is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
SPIKE tries to hold on but Jackson postures up.
SPIKE keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
SPIKE is squirming around, avoiding Jackson's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Roye Jackson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


SPIKE keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from SPIKE, before circling back to the center of the mat.
SPIKE fails with a takedown attempt.
SPIKE swats away the attempt to clinch by Jackson.

SPIKE gets a clinch.
Jackson jumps guard but SPIKE stands there with Jackson around his waist. Jackson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jackson is looking to control SPIKE's arms but SPIKE gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jackson has his back to the cage.
SPIKE looking for a takedown.
Roye Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of LITTLE SPIKE.
Jackson looking to stall.
SPIKE is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
SPIKE is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jackson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
SPIKE takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jackson successfully pulls guard.

SPIKE gets to his feet - Jackson follows without any prompting.
SPIKE shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Jackson drops back looking for a leg! SPIKE is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and SPIKE manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into SPIKE's guard.
Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jackson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but SPIKE keeps working.
Jackson wants to control for a moment but SPIKE uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Jackson works his way into full mount!
SPIKE tries to hold on but Jackson pushes him away.
SPIKE wants to try and get back to his feet.

Jackson gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

And that's the end of the fight!
Roye Jackson showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Jackson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
