Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anderson De Santo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Kilmartin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson De Santo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Kilmartin!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

De Santo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kilmartin tries to escape but De Santo is in control.
De Santo working the body and head with strikes.
Kilmartin pushes De Santo away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, De Santo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De Santo tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kilmartin's legs.

You can see the frustration on Kilmartin's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Kilmartin is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but De Santo is staying active.

De Santo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

A quick uppercut on the inside from De Santo.
Kilmartin comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Kilmartin pushes off an throws an elbow but De Santo leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

De Santo has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kilmartin uses from the top position.

De Santo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
De Santo wants to control from the top but Kilmartin keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

De Santo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Kilmartin to his feet.
De Santo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kilmartin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
De Santo takes a head kick and keeps coming.
De Santo tries to clinch there but Kilmartin circles away.
Kilmartin stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kilmartin wants it to stay on the feet.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for De Santo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
