Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shawn Perry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Anti Satosari! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Satosari's waist but Satosari gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perry off to one side. Perry fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Satosari fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Perry. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Perry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Perry closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Satosari did well to prevent Perry getting side control. Perry thows a huge punch but Satosari dodges it nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Satosari can do anything to dispel that myth. Perry is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Perry thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Satosari's head. Satosari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Perry. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perry not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Satosari keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Perry thows a huge punch but Satosari dodges it nicely.
Perry wants to control but Satosari is keeping him busy. Perry has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Perry throwing shots but Satosari is blocking nicely. Perry is looking to advance position but Satosari won't allow it. Satosari keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Perry shoots in for a double leg but Satosari sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Perry looks for a takedown but Satosari sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Perry is trying hard to land a takedown here. Satosari sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Satosari slaps away a takedown attempt from Perry, before circling back to the center of the mat. Perry shoots in for a double leg but Satosari sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Satosari looks for the body kick but Perry saw that one coming. Satosari keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Perry shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Satosari pinned against the cage. Satosari gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perry shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Satosari as he avoids it easily. Satosari looking to land some kicks to the body here.

It looks like Shawn Perry has been cut. Perry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Satosari sprawls well. Satosari wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Perry gets slowly back to his feet. Satosari defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Perry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perry shoots in but no luck this time. Perry uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Satosari. Perry throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Satosari's waist but Satosari gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Perry off to one side. Satosari misses with a body kick. Satosari stuffs the takedown attempt from Perry. Perry gets slowly back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Satosari leaves Perry with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Perry moves out of range of the body kick from Satosari.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anti Satosari dominated that round. The cut man is working on Shawn Perry's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Satosari manages to get full guard. Perry throwing strikes from guard but Satosari blocks nicely. Satosari utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Perry wants to pass the guard but Satosari is keeping the position. Satosari is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Satosari tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
That's one minute gone in the round. Perry gets full guard. Perry keeping moving, preventing Satosari from controlling successfully. Satosari stopping the sweep attempt from Perry. Perry has his hands on Satosari's head, controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Satosari trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Perry looking to sweep here. No luck so far. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Satosari prevents Perry from getting back to his feet. Satosari tries to stand but Perry is controlling from the bottom. Perry is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Satosari plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Perry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Satosari sprawls well. Satosari wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Perry gets slowly back to his feet. Perry shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Satosari is trying to defend but Perry finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Satosari avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Perry.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Perry thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Perry not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Perry is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Perry landing strikes from the mount. Perry lands a big shot there that rocks Satosari but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Perry raining down shots from the mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Perry postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Satosari looks a forlorn figure.

Perry will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Satosari throws a head kick that misses. Satosari displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Perry. That's one minute gone in the round. Perry tries to score a power double leg takedown but Satosari sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Perry somewhat. Nice uppercut lands for Satosari. That snapped Perry's head back.

Perry misses with a punch to the head. Perry is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Satosari has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here. Satosari tries to break free.
Perry throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Satosari looking very determined here, making life difficult for Perry.
Perry is punishing Satosari with strikes - can he finish him?! Perry missing with strikes. Perry throwing sloppy strikes. Perry missing with strikes from the back. Perry lands strikes to the head. Perry lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. Perry struggling to land strikes to the head as Satosari covers up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Satosari is in bad spot here.
