Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rogelio Manlikbot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dre Musashi! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manlikbot shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Musashi is trying to defend but Manlikbot finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Manlikbot is taking a breather. Musashi says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Manlikbot tries to pass the half guard into mount. Musashi knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Manlikbot tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Musashi. Musashi is trying to stand up here but Manlikbot is controlling him well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manlikbot is looking to take a break and control but Musashi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Manlikbot stalling away here and it's allowed Musashi to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Musashi keeping moving, preventing Manlikbot from controlling successfully. Manlikbot stops Musashi from standing up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Musashi looks to land a combination but Manlikbot avoids it well. Manlikbot lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Musashi sprawls well initially but Manlikbot persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Manlikbot is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Musashi is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Manlikbot tries to stand and escape but Musashi is controlling the position. Manlikbot is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Musashi manages to get to full guard. Musashi pushes Manlikbot off and gets back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Musashi wants to try and get back to his feet. Manlikbot can't control as he wanted to and Musashi manages to get the fight back to his half guard. Manlikbot is keen to just control but Musashi is a slippery customer. Manlikbot trying to control from Musashi's half guard. Musashi has other ideas though and has regained full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manlikbot closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Manlikbot tries to get to his feet but Musashi is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Manlikbot in his guard.

Dre Musashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Musashi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Manlikbot has closed the distance and engaged Musashi in a clinch.

This could be all over! Wait, no, Musashi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Manlikbot's guard! Nice work there by Musashi! Musashi postures up and lands a big shot to Manlikbot's brow. Manlikbot jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Musashi walks away with a smile on his face. Manlikbot gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Musashi clinches up with Manlikbot and pushes him back against the cage. Manlikbot prevents Musashi from breaking the clinch. Musashi has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Musashi is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Musashi has had enough of the clinch but Manlikbot keeps him there for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dre Musashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Manlikbot wants to control for a moment but Musashi uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Musashi tries to kick Manlikbot off but Manlikbot keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Manlikbot tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Manlikbot has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Manlikbot trying to control the position but Musashi is working away. Manlikbot knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Musashi on the ground.
