Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Royce Penn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Connor Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hughes's choice of entrance music: No Easy Way Out - Bullet For My Valentine. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Lou da Vinci and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Penn has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hughes can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Penn keeping busy on the bottom but Hughes has passed one foot through into half guard.
Penn is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Hughes's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Hughes's back!
Will Penn go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Hughes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Penn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Penn throwing strikes and Hughes squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Penn moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hughes has worked his arm free - good work by Hughes!
Hughes can't do much from the bottom here.
Penn has an Americana. Hughes didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Penn is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Penn hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
