Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Gailfus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Livramento (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Livramento is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Rootbeer - Under Control. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ryan Gailfus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Livramento! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gailfus fails with a takedown attempt. Gailfus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Livramento tries to avoid it but Gailfus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Livramento to the ground. Livramento escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Gailfus closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Livramento did well to prevent Gailfus getting side control. Livramento moves into full guard.
Gailfus trying to control but Livramento is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Livramento is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Livramento seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gailfus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Livramento seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Gailfus wants to improve his position but Livramento is controlling well.
Gailfus has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Livramento is working away from the top position though. Gailfus is trying to get back to full guard. Gailfus won't allow Livramento to pass to mount. Livramento seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gailfus does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gailfus tries to kick Livramento off in order to stand up. Livramento Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Livramento trying to control the action but Gailfus is working from the bottom.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Gailfus is trying hard to land a takedown here. Livramento sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryan Gailfus. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gailfus is breathing heavily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Gailfus. Gailfus really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Gailfus blocks the strikes from Livramento.
Livramento sneaks out the side door and pushes Gailfus away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Livramento shoots in and bounces Gailfus off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Livramento wants to control from the top but Gailfus keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Livramento stands up from Gailfus's guard - Livramento perhaps looking for a knockout. Livramento drives through with a takedown into guard. Gailfus has his foot on Livramento's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Livramento works his way back into a safe position though. Livramento lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Livramento gets to his feet. Gailfus looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Gailfus misses with a takedown and Livramento decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gailfus's guard. Gailfus has his foot on Livramento's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Livramento works his way back into a safe position though. Livramento throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gailfus works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gailfus has a closed guard, preventing Livramento from standing up. Gailfus looking to hit a scissor sweep but Livramento is one step ahead there. Livramento lands a couple of decent looking shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Antonio Livramento dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Nice takedown defense from Gailfus. No joy for Livramento on that attempt. Gailfus gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Livramento counters with a takedown into side control. Livramento decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gailfus to his feet. Livramento shoots in for a takedown but Gailfus shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Gailfus misses with a takedown and Livramento counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Gailfus! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee warns Gailfus that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Gailfus is looking to get to half guard. Gailfus tries to hold on but Livramento postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Livramento with the ground and pound from mount. Gailfus wants to control but Livramento is having none of it. A nice elbow there by Livramento. Gailfus is in all sorts of trouble here.
Livramento controlling from mount. Gailfus wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Livramento landing strikes from the mount. Livramento lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Livramento sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Gailfus is desperately trying to improve his position but Livramento has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gailfus is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Livramento in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Gailfus wants to control but Livramento is having none of it. Livramento postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Gailfus looks a forlorn figure.
Gailfus is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Livramento working the ground and pound effectively.
Gailfus is wriggling around trying to escape.
Livramento tries to control but Gailfus wriggling away. Livramento has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Livramento throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Gailfus has his hands clasped together but Livramento breaks the hold and Gailfus is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Livramento!
