Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Zolar Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
hurd closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
hurd takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
hurd walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Emelianenko closes the distance and lands a one-two.
No luck for hurd with that takedown attempt.
Decent striking displayed by Emelianenko there.
hurd shoots in but no luck this time.
Emelianenko listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Emelianenko is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Emelianenko jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Emelianenko lands a jab to the nose.
hurd is rocked!
Horrible takedown by hurd or perhaps it was just good defense by Emelianenko which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for destiny hurd. That's going to take a lot out of him.
hurd shoots in and drives through. Emelianenko sprawls well.
hurd shoots in for a takedown but Emelianenko shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Emelianenko throws a good cross that connects.
Emelianenko scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
hurd shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Emelianenko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Oh hurd is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
hurd slips a straight right by Emelianenko.
hurd seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd cheers as Emelianenko lands an impressive looking overhand right. hurd doesn't seem phased though.
hurd moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Zolar Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emelianenko moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
hurd seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Emelianenko shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! hurd is backing up but Emelianenko catches him with a final right hook that drops him! hurd covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Emelianenko Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Zolar Emelianenko!
