0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Reptar Buhr! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Karacic is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Buhr's half guard. Karacic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Buhr does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Karacic throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Karacic tries to pass the half guard into mount. Buhr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Karacic trying to control the action but Buhr is working from the bottom. Karacic throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Buhr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Karacic pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Karacic moves into the clinch. Karacic tries for a takedown. No joy.
Buhr jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Karacic walks away with a smile on his face. Karacic clinches up with Buhr and pushes him back against the cage. A short body shot lands from Karacic as the two fighters clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Buhr won't allow Karacic to get back to his feet. Karacic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
