Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monkey Luffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamar Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luffy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fernandez.
Luffy misses with a few strikes there.
Fernandez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Luffy circles away quickly and effectively.
Fernandez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Luffy closes the distance and clinches.
Luffy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Fernandez just stands there and leans against the cage.
Fernandez is working for takedown but Luffy is calmly controlling the position for now.
Luffy avoids a wild elbow strike from Fernandez.
Fernandez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Luffy scores with a takedown into Fernandez's guard.

Fernandez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Luffy shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Luffy was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Luffy can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fernandez is looking to escape.
Fernandez is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Luffy fails to take his opponent's back.
Luffy mounts Fernandez! Really nice guard pass there!
Luffy lands with some strikes.
Fernandez tries to lock up and control but Luffy gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Fernandez is breathing heavily.

Luffy connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Luffy jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Fernandez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Fernandez and Luffy has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Luffy goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Fernandez has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Luffy but great work by Fernandez.
Luffy is looking for a sweep.

Monkey Luffy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Fernandez throwing shots but Luffy is blocking nicely.

Fernandez has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Fernandez wants to control but instead Luffy manages to regain half guard.
Luffy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Luffy wants to control but Fernandez is keeping busy.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fernandez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Luffy is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Luffy connects with a nice short shot to Fernandez's temple.

Luffy closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fernandez to the mat! Fernandez manages to get full guard.
Luffy content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Luffy drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fernandez dives on top into guard.

Fernandez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Luffy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fernandez has managed to get both his arms back between Luffy's legs - danger averted.

Fernandez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fernandez.
Luffy postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Fernandez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Luffy, into his guard.
Luffy is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Fernandez frees his head nicely. Oh but Luffy has switched to an armbar! Fernandez is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
