Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Kowalsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travis Casada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Kowalsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Travis Casada!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kowalsky jabs at Casada's body.

Casada darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Kowalsky is looking for a sweep. Casada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kowalsky is staying active underneath Casada, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Casada is looking to advance position but Kowalsky won't allow it.
Casada is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kowalsky is looking to improve his position.

Casada is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kowalsky sees it coming and defends easily.

Kowalsky looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Kowalsky is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Casada pulls his head out easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Casada is looking to clinch.
Kowalsky scores with a body shot.
Casada looks gassed!
Kowalsky fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kowalsky.
Kowalsky is looking to clinch but Casada is avoiding it.

Casada moves into the clinch.

Casada ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Casada no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Casada is trying to keep Kowalsky in close.
Kowalsky trying to control but Casada is working from the bottom.

Kowalsky drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Casada manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kowalsky has Casada in his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Casada got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kowalsky has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Casada has managed to get both his arms back between Kowalsky's legs - danger averted.
Casada wants to control from the top but Kowalsky keeps moving.
Casada stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kowalsky swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Casada passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Casada with the ground and pound but Kowalsky regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Casada wants to pass to mount but Kowalsky is defending the position.
Kowalsky is trying to control but can't.
Kowalsky avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Casada.
Casada wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kowalsky keeps working.

Kowalsky is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Casada pulls his head out easily.
Casada wants to pass the guard but Kowalsky is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Kowalsky decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Kowalsky seems to be working for a kimura but Casada defends the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kowalsky is looking for a kimura here.
Casada throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Kowalsky wants to free his trapped foot but Casada is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Casada tries to kick Kowalsky off in order to stand up. Kowalsky Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Kowalsky dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Kowalsky lands a nice shot to the body.
A jab from Kowalsky misses.
Casada has his takedown stuffed
and Kowalsky counters with a two punch combo.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Casada is defended easily by Kowalsky.
Kowalsky is looking to clinch.
Kowalsky tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Casada counters with a single leg into guard. Kowalsky didn't expect that.

Kowalsky is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Casada is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Casada trying to control the position from guard on top but Kowalsky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Casada has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kowalsky to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Casada is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kowalsky pulls down on the head and he's put Casada to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). John Kowalsky!
