Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Honda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Lavoie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Honda is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Honda! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vinny Lavoie! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Honda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Lavoie tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Honda swivels and escapes. Honda with a poor takedown and Lavoie moves into the clinch. Honda manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Lavoie thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lavoie is stalling in the full guard. Honda has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lavoie can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Honda is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lavoie looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Honda lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lavoie!
That's one minute gone in the round. Honda avoids the attempt from Lavoie to control. Honda has control of Lavoie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lavoie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Honda lands a nice shot to the head.
It looks like Vinny Lavoie has been cut. Lavoie tries to lock up and control but Honda gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Lavoie keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Honda is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Lavoie has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Honda trying to control but Lavoie is having none of it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Lavoie is desperately trying to improve his position but Honda has a good base and remains in mount. Honda looking to control and managing it successfully. Lavoie tries to hold on but Honda postures up. Lavoie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Honda. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Lavoie is trying desperately to improve position. Honda is landing with some decent strikes but Lavoie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Lavoie tries to hold on but Honda pushes him away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Honda postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Lavoie looks a forlorn figure.
Honda prevents Lavoie from getting the reversal. Lavoie looks gassed! Lavoie is bucking up trying to escape but Honda cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Honda with a couple of short strikes. Honda is landing with some decent strikes but Lavoie is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Honda with the ground and pound from mount. Honda looking to control but Lavoie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Honda has control of Lavoie's right arm, working for a kimura. Honda wants to finish this one by submission but Lavoie is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Honda. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lavoie fails to land the takedown. Honda shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lavoie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Honda has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lavoie is trying to work for a kimura but Honda is defending well.
Honda is looking to escape. The fighters are battling for position here. Honda manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Honda is adopting a defensive guard. Honda working for a triangle but Lavoie defends it easily.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lavoie passes Honda's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Honda wants to control but Lavoie is keeping busy and won't allow it. Lavoie takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Honda throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Lavoie is trying to control. Honda wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Honda moves into full guard.
Lavoie decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. James Honda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lavoie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Honda but Honda pushes him off and we're back to square one. Honda throws a nice looking combination but Lavoie bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Honda goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Honda misses with a takedown attempt and Lavoie counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Honda tries to get to full guard but Lavoie has control of the leg. Lavoie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Honda pushes Lavoie off looking to stand but Lavoie dives back in and keeps control.
Honda is looking for a sweep. Lavoie is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Honda looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Honda is trying to control but can't.

and Lavoie counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lavoie wants to work for an arm triangle but Honda is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Honda shoots and misses and Lavoie counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lavoie. Lavoie not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Honda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Lavoie trying to control but Honda is working from the bottom. Honda trying to control the position.
Lavoie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Honda looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Honda looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Honda! Lavoie is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lavoie is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lavoie pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Honda is keeping the position for now. Lavoie got a little sloppy there for a moment and Honda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lavoie has managed to get both his arms back between Honda's legs - danger averted. Honda keeping moving, preventing Lavoie from controlling successfully. Lavoie throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Honda works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Lavoie wants to pass the guard but Honda is keeping the position. Lavoie wants to control from the top but Honda keeps moving. Honda wants to sweep but no luck.
And that's the end of the fight! Vinny Lavoie comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Lavoie has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
