Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Travis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Travis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bill West! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Travis tries to clinch up. Travis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but West paws at him with a jab and circles away. West misses with an attempted mid kick.
West ducks under a wild hook from Travis. West scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. West cracks Travis with a big right hand but Travis just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Travis is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Travis is pushing West's head away, looking to escape. West manages to hold on to the position though. Check out the look on West's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Oh Travis is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! West cracks Travis with a big right hand but Travis just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
West wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Travis, who protects the arm well. Travis seems to have got his legs back now. West working the body and head with strikes. West misses with the ground and pound. Travis is pushing West's head away, looking to escape. West manages to hold on to the position though. West scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Travis to see if he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Travis is not content to let West control the position. Travis is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but West has just dragged him back down to the mat. Travis is not in a great position here, taking some shots. West throwing shots but missing, from side control. West lands a decent elbow from side control. West lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Travis down.

Travis is trying to buck West off. Travis is breathing heavily. West throwing shots but missing, from side control. West wants to lay and pray for a moment but Travis keeps working. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. West shoots for a takedown but Travis saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Travis displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from West. West tries for a takedown but Travis sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Marcus Travis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill West. Travis tries to close the distance and clinch but West swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Travis gets caught flat footed, as West shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Travis wants to get back to his feet but West is in a dominant position and won't allow it. West is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. West is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. West connects with a couple of short punches. West stays in close to Travis's body and controls the position.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. West wants to work for an arm triangle but Travis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

No, Travis has escaped the position, nice work there. West in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's four minutes gone in the round. West lands some shots froms side control. West has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. West lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Travis down.
Travis is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. West scoring with punches from side control. West creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Travis wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! West thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. West scores with a couple of short elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Travis is trying to escape and get back to his feet. West lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill West dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
West shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. West showed some decent athleticism there. Travis is looking to escape. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. West lands a nice short elbow. West has been the more effective fighter overall so far. West is taking a breather. Travis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. West is looking for a kimura here.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. West connects with a nice short shot to Travis's temple. West scoring with strikes to the body and head. West is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Travis is just riding it out for now. West eventually gives up the hold.
That's one minute gone in the round. West landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Travis tries to kick West off but West keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. West lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. West is looking for a kimura here.
West is nestled in close to Travis, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. West is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Travis! The referee warns Travis that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
West lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. West has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Travis's face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. West working for a submission but Travis is keeping him at bay. Travis is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. West lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Travis hang on? West wants to control the pace but Travis is squirming around nicely. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! West lands a big shot there that rocks Travis but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

West has hold of Travis's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Travis manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Travis is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, West cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

West jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Travis manages to avoid the submission attempt. Travis wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. West working the head with strikes. Travis is trying to get back to his feet. West landing strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bill West showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
West gets in close and instigates a clinch. West drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Travis gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Marcus Travis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill West. West is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Travis's half guard. Travis pushes West off looking to stand but West dives back in and keeps control.
West maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Travis could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but West has cracked it and Travis is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by West!
