The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benitez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gallas swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Benitez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gallas.
Jab, jab by Gallas - just one landing.
Gallas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Benitez throws out the jab.
Gallas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Benitez throws the left hand but Gallas avoids the punch easily.
Benitez uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Benitez throws a hook but Gallas blocks it.
Benitez's corner calls for a 1-2. Benitez obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like William Gallas has been cut.
A slow jab from Benitez misses its intended target.
Benitez goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Benitez throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gallas's waist but Gallas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Benitez off to one side.
Gallas swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice defenses there by Gallas.
Gallas gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Gallas is rocked!
Benitez lands with a hook. Gallas tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Oh Gallas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Benitez throws a quick head kick that knocks Gallas silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Benitez is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
